  2. Dave Feldberg Steps Away From Latitude 64

    Dave Feldberg announced Sunday that he would no longer be a sponsored player under the Latitude 64 brand, and that he made the decision to focus on and grow the Next Generation Tour.

    “I decided it’s best I’m no longer exclusively sponsored by a disc manufacturer and am moving on from the Latitude64 team,” Feldberg said. “They continually supported our vision and gave us the opportunity to achieve our goals within this sport including stepping up as our title sponsor for the first three years of the Next Generation Disc Golf Tour.

    “We look forward to continuing on with a new relationship with Latitude 64 through the NG Tour and are very excited about this launching a new chapter in our life.”

  3. Sarah Hokom Leaves Legacy Discs

    Legacy Discs is losing its top-rated women’s player and most visible touring pro, as Sarah Hokom announced she’d be parting ways with the manufacturer for 2019.

    “As I look into the future, I have to contemplate the best move for me professionally,” Hokom said in the statement. “At this time, after much deliberation, I’ve decided to move on to a different disc manufacturer.  I sincerely appreciate everything that Legacy has done for me over the years and I certainly wouldn’t have experienced the amount of success that I have without their help.”

  8. Eagle McMahon Extends Discmania Contract

    Eagle McMahon with Discmania CEO Jussi Meresmaa

    Eagle McMahon will spend another two years under the Shield, as the Coloradan signed a contract extension with Discmania keeping him with the manufacturer through at least 2020.

    “They have shown me amazing and sustained support throughout my professional career,” McMahon said in the statement. “I believe we can reach new heights with our visions and strong relationship. I could not be happier to have the support from such a great company.”

  14. Paul Ulibarri Leaves Prodigy

    Paul Ulibarri will no longer be a Prodigy sponsored player. Ulibarri, who joined the Prodigy team in 2013 with the first class of sponsored players, made the decision to leave the company following the 2018 season.

    “A lot of the decision was personal. Moving forward in my career, I felt like this was the best decision for me,” Ulibarri told Ultiworld Disc Golf. “Prodigy is a great company, and I only have love for them.”

    Leiviska himself leads the top 10 in consecutive events in which he’s taken home a check, and there are some surprise omissions as well.

  19. Andrew Presnell Joins Discraft Elite Team For 2019

    ANDREW PRESNELL

    Andrew Presnell announced Saturday that he would be joining the Discraft Elite Team for 2019.

    “When I first started playing in 2012, I threw a lot of Discraft,” Presnell said. “It’s something that has been a goal of mine for a while, and signing with them gives me a feeling of achieving one of my goals.

    “Also, I knew they were making moves this offseason, and I wanted to be a part of it. I felt like this was a great time to be on Team Discraft.”

    Prodigy Disc Europe announced Friday it had signed Väinö Mäkelä to a 3-year contract to keep the young Finn with the company through 2021.

    Mäkelä won two stops on the Prodigy Disc Pro Tour in 2018, and also finished first in the 2018 Finnish National Pro Tour to take home an end of year cash bonus.

    On the most recent SmashboxxTV Podcast, Paul McBeth confirmed that a leaked ad image was indeed his new signature series discs with Discraft.

    “You’ll actually be able to see it in the PDGA Magazine when it comes out,” McBeth says. “I think it’s supposed to be the back page.”
